Patriot Mobile Sponsors the National Rifle Association (NRA) Annual Meeting

In Houston, Texas last week, the Patriot Mobile team joined an estimated 61,000 attendees at the biggest Second Amendment meeting in the country. Notable speakers included President Donald Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Kristi Noem, and Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears. At the Patriot Mobile booth, we had the opportunity to talk with thousands of Americans face-to-face about our mission-driven company.

Since our founding, Patriot Mobile has dedicated our company to defending our God-given, constitutional rights, including our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Despite what the media says, our rights do not come from the government. Our rights come from God, and governments are instituted among men merely to secure those rights. This includes the inalienable right to self-defense, which is enshrined in the Second Amendment of the Constitution: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

At the NRA Women’s New Energy breakfast, Leigh Wambsganss, Patriot Mobile’s Vice President of Government and Public Affairs and Executive Director of Patriot Mobile Action, gave remarks to a ballroom full of responsible gun owners, who happen to be women. “At Patriot Mobile, we support the Second Amendment because it is how we defend our families against evil and how we defend our freedom from tyranny and we know the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy (or gal) with a gun,” Wambsganss said.

In countless incidents across the country, lives are saved due to a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun. This truth is powerfully illustrated by the story of Texas Hood County Commissioner Jack Wilson. Patriot Mobile was honored that this heroic man stopped by our booth to share his testimony. Wilson is a good guy with a gun who stopped a bad guy with a gun and prevented a mass shooting inside his Hood County church in 2019.

The deranged, evil man who killed 21 innocent lives at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas proves why we still need the Second Amendment today. The Patriot Mobile team is heartbroken for the community of Uvalde, Texas. We can only imagine the pain and heartache the families are feeling right now.

We never want to allow such a tragedy to happen again which is why Patriot Mobile supports the Second Amendment.

It is tragedies like the Uvalde school shooting that prompted the NRA to establish the NRA School Shield program to protect America’s school children. This program is “committed to addressing the many facets of school security, including best practices in security infrastructure, technology, personnel, training, and policy.” Additionally, the NRA Eddie Eagle program teaches gun safety to children to help parents, law enforcement, community groups and educators navigate this topic paramount to our children’s safety.

As President Donald Trump said in his speech on Friday, “The existence of evil is one of the very best reasons to arm law abiding citizens.”

Wambsganss was interviewed by Shannon Bream on Fox News to share how she fought to secure the public schools in her Texas community. “Evil people go after soft targets and gun control is not the answer. Putting a good guy with a gun is the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun and an armed resource officer INSIDE each building is absolutely critical.”

“When you have a government facility that the government deems is a gun-free zone, it is the government’s responsibility to protect those precious children. How long is it going to take?” she asked. “Our elected officials have armed security. It’s time we put armed security in every school in America.”

History teaches us that before governments become totalitarian, leaders always disarm its citizenry. In the 20th century, we saw millions of law-abiding citizens slaughtered by their own governments in countries like the Soviet Union, communist China, Nazi Germany, Cambodia, and Uganda. What did they have in common? The governments banned guns so that its people couldn’t defend themselves. The road to tyranny is paved with gun control laws.

A highlight of the Patriot Mobile booth was Utah Senator Mike Lee’s book signing. Senator Lee’s new book, “Saving Nine” reveals the Left’s dangerous Court Packing plan that will destroy American liberty. As Senator Lee says in his book, “Our institutions and our Constitution are facing an existential threat, but it’s not to late to stop it. It’s not too late to save nine.” The Patriot Mobile booth was the busiest in the exhibit hall as patriots stood in lines to obtain this important book.

Thankfully, our Founding Fathers understood the importance of our three branches of government, and they knew that in a broken, fallen world, the people’s right to keep and bear arms must be secured. “[T]o preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them,” said Richard Henry Lee, a signer of the Declaration and a framer of the Second Amendment.

The Second Amendment is fundamental to securing our freedom and safety in America. That’s why Patriot Mobile will always defend the Second Amendment.
