Join Patriot Mobile in Participating in National Volunteer Week

As National Volunteer Week approaches (April 21-27), Patriot Mobile stands firm in our commitment to serving our communities through giving our time and resources. Guided by the Biblical principle that “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35), we invite our members to join us in giving back to those in need.

Volunteering not only benefits the recipients of our actions but also enriches our own lives and strengthens the bonds within our communities. This week presents a perfect opportunity for Patriot Mobile members to come together with family and friends to engage in meaningful acts of service.

Here are some inspiring ways Patriot Mobile members can get involved:

  1. Serve Mothers and Babies in the Pro-Life Movement

Make a difference by volunteering at your local pregnancy resource center or pro-life organization that serves vulnerable women and babies.

Organizations like Embrace Grace provide unique opportunities to encourage women to choose life. For example, you can rally your church members and friends to host a Share the Love’ event to build ‘Love Boxes.’ A ‘Love Box’ is given to single young women who may be considering abortion to encourage them to be brave with love. Each box includes a personal invitation to a church-hosted support group, a moving book of testimonies, a letter of hope, a journal, and a onesie with ‘The Best Gift Ever’ printed on the front. Embrace Grace will ship the items to you unassembled and include planning tips for your event.

After the party, you can drop off the Love Boxes to a local pregnancy center, within 30 miles of a local Embrace Grace group, to be gifted to single and pregnant moms. This is a tangible way to show love and support to women facing challenging circumstances.

On numerous occasions, Patriot Mobile staff has come together to pack Love Boxes for Embrace Grace. Each gathering is an uplifting occasion during which we dedicate our time to pack the boxes and pray for the women who’ll receive them.

  1. Serve Military Families

Our military families sacrifice greatly for our nation, and volunteering to support them is a powerful gesture of gratitude. Whether it’s through local military support organizations, community events, or offering assistance directly to military families, every act of kindness makes a difference.

Last December, Patriot Mobile volunteered with the Boot Campaign’s Santa Boots program to wrap personalized Christmas gifts for military families which were sent out all over the country.

  1. Serve at Local Food Pantries

Volunteering at a local food pantry is a deeply fulfilling experience that allows you to directly impact the lives of individuals and families in your community who are facing food insecurity. Hunger remains a pressing issue in many communities, and local food pantries play a vital role in providing support.

Patriot Mobile staff volunteered at our local Community Enrichment Center to pack thousands of pounds of meals to bless the community last Thanksgiving. Our staff packed produce bags, restocked shelves, packed frozen meals, and completed other warehouse tasks as needed.

  1. Serve at Non-Profit Organizations like Mercury One Charity

Mercury One Charity is dedicated to serving those in need and empowering individuals to stand for truth. Mercury One currently has unique volunteer opportunities to serve the residents of Maui, devastated by last year’s wildfires. They are seeking therapists, veterans, pastors, specialists, and EMDR-trained doctors to help survivors overcome trauma and rebuild their lives. Additionally, if you are local to the DFW area, you can volunteer at the American Journey Experience museum, assisting with cataloging artifacts, special events, and daily operations.

Whether it’s through volunteering your time, involving your children in service projects, or getting together with friends to support a worthy cause, there are endless opportunities to spread love and kindness in your community. Join us in making a difference during National Volunteer Week!
