As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Christians across the nation are turning back to the enduring Word of God, uniting around Scripture in a powerful display of faith.
Patriot Mobile was honored to co-sponsor and participate in America Reads the Bible, a historic, weeklong initiative held April 19–25 at the Museum of the Bible. Presented by Christians Engaged and Great American Media, the event brought together well-known voices, leaders, pastors, and everyday Americans from every state to read the Bible aloud—from Genesis to Revelation—creating a continuous, unified proclamation of God’s Word from the nation’s capital. Participants included Candace Cameron Bure, Franklin Graham, Dr. Ben Carson, Erika Kirk, Kevin Sorbo, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and many more.
Patriot Mobile leadership was proud to take part in this historic reading. Jenny Story, Chief Operating Officer, read from Matthew 3–4, while Scott Coburn, Chief Marketing Officer, read from Ezekiel 31–32. Bob Burckle, Patriot Mobile Board Member, read from Lamentations 1–2, and Patriot Mobile’s chaplain, Pastor Rafael Cruz, read from Ezekiel 33–34. Each passage pointed to themes of repentance, renewal, and the sovereignty of God—timeless truths that remain as relevant today as ever.
We were especially encouraged to see participation from national leaders, including members of the Trump administration. President Donald Trump addressed the audience from the Oval Office, reading from 2 Chronicles 7, a significant Bible verse calling for humility, prayer, and repentance.
Additional participants included Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who read Proverbs 31, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who read Daniel 5, along with Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, Secretary of HUD Scott Turner, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. It was inspiring to see the top leaders of our nation publicly acknowledge the importance of the Bible as they lead America during this pivotal time in history.
This initiative reflects a pattern seen throughout the Bible. When the Word of God is read aloud and placed at the center of a people, it has the power to awaken hearts and redirect a nation. In a time when many Americans are searching for truth and purpose, moments like this serve as a reminder that the answers are found in God’s Word.
Being in Washington, D.C. for this event was deeply meaningful, standing alongside fellow believers and hearing the Word of God read aloud from beginning to end in the heart of our nation’s capital. We understand that Scripture is not only foundational to our past, guiding previous generations to the blessings of liberty, but also essential to America’s future and God’s continued favor.
