SoldierStrong was founded in the wake of 9/11 by Dr. Chris Meek, who was deeply moved by his experience at Ground Zero. Since 2009, SoldierStrong has been dedicated to helping America’s veterans take their next steps forward in life after service. The organization provides revolutionary medical technologies to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities and directly to veterans across the country.
Through its efforts, SoldierStrong has donated over $7 million in advanced medical technology, including 30 SoldierSuits—wearable robotic exoskeletons that help paralyzed veterans walk again—and 30 BraveMind virtual reality systems, which provide cutting-edge treatment for post-traumatic stress (PTS) in post-9/11 veterans.
