Patriot Mobile was honored to co-sponsor this year’s Boot Bash in Fort Worth, Texas in support of Boot Campaign and its mission to provide life-changing care for veterans and military families.
Boot Bash brought supporters together for an unforgettable evening honoring those who serve. The event united supporters around a shared mission: ensuring that America’s veterans and military families receive the care, resources, and support they deserve long after their service has ended.
Patriot Mobile CMO Scott Coburn helped set the tone for the evening by sharing his own family’s deep history of military service. Reflecting on his grandfather’s service in World War II and his father’s service in Vietnam, Coburn reminded attendees that supporting veterans is not just an act of gratitude but a responsibility. “The duty is ours,” he said. “The honor is theirs, the veterans. The glory is His, God the Father!”
Keynote speaker Johnny Joey Jones delivered a powerful and deeply personal message about service, sacrifice, resilience, and the strength of the American spirit. After sharing the story of the 2010 IED blast in Afghanistan that took both of his legs and the life of fellow Marine Daniel Greer, Jones recalled waking up in a hospital in Germany and hearing a nurse tell him, “Don’t worry, hon, you’re going to walk again.” That moment, he said, changed the trajectory of his recovery.
Jones challenged the audience to see service not only as sacrifice, but as a privilege. “You’re born an American, but you still have to choose to be one,” he said, reminding attendees that responsibility is part of what makes this country strong.
He also offered a moving response to the familiar phrase, “Thank you for your service,” saying the best reply is, “Thank you for being worth serving.”
Founded in 2009, Boot Campaign has helped more than 9,500 veterans and military family members through personalized programs addressing mental health, chronic pain, traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, family support, and overall wellness. That lasting impact is one of the reasons Patriot Mobile continues to support the organization’s mission. As Patriot Mobile CMO Scott Coburn shared during the event, “We choose to support organizations that are having the greatest impact in the field that they’re working in. That’s why we choose to support Boot Campaign.”
After years of seeing that impact firsthand, Patriot Mobile remains honored to stand alongside Boot Campaign in serving America’s veterans and military families. Events like Boot Bash are a powerful reminder that freedom comes at a cost, and that those who have borne that cost deserve care, support, and a grateful nation standing beside them.
