Patriot Mobile recently co-sponsored Warrior Rising’s ‘Stand Up for Startups’ Gala in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was an unforgettable evening dedicated to empowering veterans as they transition from military service to successful business ownership. Hosted by Warrior Rising, this remarkable event proved to be the organization’s largest yet, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of over 2,500 attendees.

Warrior Rising: Empowering Vetrepreneurs

Warrior Rising is a nonprofit organization committed to helping veterans redefine their purpose through entrepreneurship. By providing training, mentorship, and resources, Warrior Rising equips veterans—affectionately called “vetrepreneurs”—with the tools they need to build and grow successful businesses. Their mission is rooted in recognizing the leadership, discipline, and resilience veterans bring to the entrepreneurial world, making them uniquely suited to thrive as business owners.

The ‘Stand Up for Startups’ Gala featured 12 veteran entrepreneurs competing for life-changing grants, with the top three finalists pitching their businesses live on stage. First place was awarded to MyHome, a home maintenance management platform founded by Gabe and Lindsey Crismon, who received an incredible $150,000 grant to bring their vision to life. Second place went to Maryam K. of RxPharmacist, a pharmacy exam-prep company, earning $25,000.  Third place was awarded to David Spencer who also received $25,000 to expand Curate Labs, an AI troubleshooting software. In total, over $300,000 in grants were distributed to support these remarkable veteran-led businesses.
