Patriot Mobile Donates 2,500 “In God We Trust” Posters to West Virginia Schools

West Virginia schools are set to display the national motto “In God We Trust” thanks to a donation of 2,500 posters from Patriot Mobile in collaboration with First Liberty Institute, a nonprofit legal organization dedicated to defending religious freedom.

The donation comes in response to Senate Bill 280, passed during the 2025 regular legislative session, which requires all public primary and secondary schools, as well as state colleges and universities, to display the national motto in a “conspicuous location” inside a main building accessible to the public.

The law, sponsored by Sen. Mike Azinger (R-Wood), had been introduced for several years before finally passing this spring. The law went into effect on July 11. This week, Gov. Patrick Morrisey (R) and fellow West Virginia leaders gathered to celebrate the law’s passage at the State Capitol in Charleston.

Sen. Azinger praised schools that had already complied by producing their own signs or accepting private donations, while also thanking Patriot Mobile and First Liberty for stepping in with their generous contribution. Under the law, posters must be at least 8.5 by 11 inches, feature the words “In God We Trust,” and include the U.S. flag centered beneath the motto, with no other information.

Gov. Morrisey stressed that the displays are critical for students to “understand the importance of basic civics and ensuring we’re recognizing our God in schools.”

“Religious freedom must and will be respected in West Virginia,” Morrisey added. “Thank you and God bless.”

“Patriot Mobile is honored to make its donation to ensure this historic day. We believe this initiative reminds students that our rights come from God, not the government,” said Glenn Story, Patriot Mobile’s Founder and CEO.

For Patriot Mobile, the donation is part of our broader mission to defend faith, family, and freedom. By providing the posters at no cost to schools, we enable the state’s new law to be carried out immediately without burdening local school budgets.

Thank you to Gov. Morrisey, Sen. Azinger, and all the dedicated volunteers who made this initiative possible. Together, we ensure that students across West Virginia will see our national motto proudly displayed in their schools.
