We were honored to sponsor IFA’s Gatekeepers Conference in Dallas, where attendees were equipped to pray boldly, stand on truth, and lead with faith in action.
A Call to Possess the Gates
Throughout the conference, IFA leaders emphasized a central biblical principle: believers are called to “possess the gates” to bring God’s truth into places of authority.
David Kubal, CEO and President of IFA, shared a powerful historical example illustrating the impact of prayer on world events. Recounting the peaceful prayer movement in East Germany that preceded the fall of the Berlin Wall, Kubal reminded attendees: “Policy needs the power of prayer to succeed. The power of prayer broke the back of communism.”
Today, the growing threat of a globalist agenda is on the rise, threatening our national sovereignty and concentrating power on a global scale. While this may seem like a new issue, Kubal pointed attendees back to its origins in Scripture.
In Genesis 11, humanity attempted to unify under one centralized authority apart from God at the Tower of Babel. “Babel” actually means “Gate of God” in Assyrian. But God intervened, confusing their language and scattering the people, shutting the gate on that globalist agenda and establishing nations under His design.
In contrast, Genesis 22 declares that God’s people will “possess the gates of their enemies.” Kubal explained that gates represent influence—where decisions are made and culture is shaped. “By leading the ideological policy of government, we bring God’s values to the earth,” Kubal said. The takeaway: if believers don’t step into the gates, someone else will.
Understanding the Cultural Battle
Kris Kubal, Chief Program Officer of IFA, provided a deeper look at the historical, cultural, and spiritual challenges facing the nation.
One of the most evil ideologies humanity has faced in the last 100 years is Marxism. She explained that Marxism is not simply political—Marxism at its root is a religion seeking to reshape culture by exploiting human nature and creating division. These systems often rely on conflict between classes, races, and values to destabilize society and usher in change.
Drawing from the insights of former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov, she outlined the four stages used to influence and reshape a nation:
- Demoralization
- Destabilization
- Crisis
- Normalization of evil
Kubal also warned of the dangers of globalist ideologies that seek centralized control—echoing patterns seen throughout history. At their core, she explained, these leftist movements attempt to replace biblical truth with man-made systems, replacing God with government.
A Biblical Mandate for Prayer
In response, the conference consistently pointed back to Scripture as the foundation for action. Kris Kubal reminded attendees of the clear instruction in 1 Timothy 2:1–2:
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
She encouraged believers to walk in their God-given authority, becoming like the Sons of Issachar: “Men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” (1 Chronicles 12:32). The message was clear: understanding the times must be paired with faithful, intentional prayer.
Mobilizing Believers Across the Nation
One of the most impactful takeaways from the Gatekeepers Conference was the call to action. Intercessors for America is mobilizing believers through its growing prayer community—where hundreds of thousands are praying for our nation. Christians across the country are uniting in consistent, intentional prayer for leaders, policies, and the future of America.

Through this effort, believers are encouraged to recount God’s hand in their cities and counties, reclaim His promises, and rededicate their communities to biblical principles.
