A First for the Republican Party
Republicans gathered in Dallas September 9 and 10 for a first in the party’s history: a national convention held during a midterm election year.
The two-day RNC Midterm Convention brought Republican leaders, candidates, organizations, and supporters together as the midterm campaign entered its final weeks. Unlike traditional national conventions, there was no presidential ticket to nominate. Instead, the gathering put the party’s record, candidates, and priorities on a national stage.
The convention was ceremonial, meaning participants did not conduct formal party business or adopt resolutions. The Republican National Committee described the event as an opportunity to bring together party leaders and supporters during the 2026 midterm election cycle. President Trump Addresses the First RNC Midterm Convention
President Donald Trump acknowledged the significance of the occasion at the opening of his remarks, welcoming attendees to “the first ever midterm convention of any party.”
The timing also coincided with America’s 250th anniversary. Looking back to 1776, Trump reflected on the founding generation that “lit the immortal flame of American liberty” and emphasized the responsibility of today’s Americans to preserve and carry forward the freedoms we inherited.
“We will raise high the torch of liberty that was handed to us,” Trump said, looking toward what he described as a future of “hope, pride, opportunity, and freedom.”

As America’s only Christian conservative wireless provider, our team had the opportunity to introduce more people to Patriot Mobile and the mission behind our company to support organizations defending faith, family, and freedom.
Supporting Real America’s Voice Coverage From Dallas
Patriot Mobile’s presence extended beyond the convention floor through its sponsorship of Real America’s Voice live coverage.
The network streamed interviews, speeches and convention programming from Dallas, enabling viewers who could not attend in person to follow the event from home. Watch Real America’s Voice’s convention coverage.
Patriot Mobile Co-Founders Glenn and Jenny Story joined the network from inside the convention to discuss Patriot Mobile, grassroots activism, and the importance of Christians civic engagement in their communities.
Patriot Mobile Vice President of Strategic Partnerships Danielle Buck also appeared during the coverage, urging Christians watching from home to embrace their civic responsibility by encouraging family members, friends and neighbors to participate in the upcoming midterm election.
In elections across the country over “90% of Muslims vote while only 30% of Christians vote. That should wake up every Christian at home watching,” Buck said. “You may be registered to vote, but maybe your neighbor or your friend, think their vote doesn’t matter, and that is a lie.” Elections can be won or lost by a margin of votes. We need to awaken Christians between now and Election Day.
JD Vance Discusses Faith, Family and Future Generations
Vice President JD Vance focused part of his convention address on the country that future generations will inherit.
Drawing from Scripture and America’s founding, Vance described what he called an American “birthright,” saying, “I believe that our founders built this nation on a promise that echoes our Creator.”
For Vance, that idea was also personal. Reflecting on the future he hopes his newborn son and children across America will inherit, he described a country where families can afford homes, children can grow up in safe communities, Americans have access to good jobs and economic opportunity, and people remain free to practice their faith.
“I want our children to grow up in a country that doesn’t roll its eyes at people who pray,” Vance said, “but remembers that this country itself was an answer to prayer 250 years ago.”
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. turned the convention’s attention to health, chronic disease, nutrition, and the administration’s Make America Healthy Again initiative.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pointed to what he described as early signs of progress, telling attendees, “Americans are eating more real food” while “Americans are eating less processed food.” He also discussed efforts to lower prescription drug costs, address chronic disease, and change the relationship between federal health agencies and the industries they regulate.
