Patriot Mobile Supports Parental Rights at Moms for Liberty Summit

Patriot Mobile

Patriot Mobile was honored to support Moms for Liberty at their fifth annual National Summit where parents, political leaders, and grassroots activists gathered to discuss the future of American education and the importance of protecting parental rights.

Throughout the summit, speakers including Governor Greg Abbott, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Moms for Liberty Co-founder Tina Descovich, and others challenged attendees to stand firm in their convictions, engage in their communities, and preserve the freedoms that allow families to raise and educate their children according to their values.

Pastor David Blease, Director of Patriot Mobile Faith and Faith Mobilized, opened the summit in prayer, asking God to guide and strengthen those gathered. Emphasizing the importance of relying on God rather than our own strength, he said, “I pray that you would equip us to go out and make an impact for your kingdom.”

What Is ‘Moms for Liberty’?

Founded in 2021 by former school board members Tina Descovich and Tiffany Justice, Moms for Liberty is a grassroots organization that unites, educates, and empowers parents to defend their parental rights. Through local chapters and community activism, the organization encourages parents to advocate for their children’s education and hold school systems accountable at school board meetings and across all levels of government.

The summit highlighted how local involvement can lead to broader change—and why parents’ voices matter in decisions that affect their families.

Tina Descovich: Defending Liberty for the Next Generation

Moms for Liberty co-founder Tina Descovich emphasized the importance of securing freedom for the heirs of our educational system.

“The goal is to preserve this great country for our future generations so that they can live in liberty and freedom, too,” she said.

Descovich also highlighted the impact of grassroots activism, pointing to the organization’s reported electoral and legislative accomplishments. She announced the launch of M4L Aware (Agenda Watch, Alert, Response, and Engage), their new artificial intelligence monitoring program that will equip members across the country with detailed information about local school board topics and votes.

Descovich’s  experience  taught  her  an  important  lesson: meaningful change begins when parents become informed, organized, and willing to act.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Gov. Greg Abbott Emphasizes Parental Authority

Texas Governor Greg Abbott spoke about parental authority, classroom policies and returning education to academic fundamentals.

“No one knows what’s best for a child more than that child’s parents,” Abbott said.

His remarks reinforced the importance of parents remaining involved in their children’s education and understanding the policies that shape classroom instruction.

The discussion also encouraged attendees to participate in elections and use their personal relationships to help others become informed and engaged.

Jenn Turner Shares a Message of Faith and Courage

Jenn Turner, Moms for Liberty Chapter Chair for Polk County, Iowa, encouraged parents to remain courageous when advocating for their children brings criticism.

Turner described how her public criticism of a classroom lesson involving her fourth-grade son drew her into a broader cultural controversy. That experience strengthened her resolve to speak up.

“Courage doesn’t mean you weren’t afraid. It means fear didn’t win,” Turner said.

Drawing on the biblical story of Esther, she encouraged attendees to recognize that difficult circumstances can present opportunities to act faithfully and decisively.

Her challenge to parents: do not let fear keep you from advocating for your children.

Religious Liberty and America’s Founding History

The summit also included a Heritage Foundation panel examining religious liberty and concerns about religious influence in public education.

Another presentation featured Catherine Rahimian’s book, The Secret of the Forgotten Rebel, which explores the story of Mercy Otis Warren and her contributions during America’s founding era.

Warren’s example offered a reminder that women have long helped shape the nation’s public life—and that parents today can make meaningful contributions within their own communities.

How Parents Can Get Involved in Their Communities

Defending parental rights requires consistent participation. Parents can begin by:

  • Attending school board meetings and reviewing meeting agendas.
  • Examining curriculum and school policies that affect their children.
  • Contacting elected representatives with questions and concerns.
  • Voting in local elections, including school board races.
  • Connecting with other families to address shared priorities.
  • Joining a local Moms for Liberty chapter or exploring how to start one.
