In addition, Patriot Mobile and Texas Eagle Forum co-hosted one of the convention’s most talked-out breakout sessions, “Don’t Sharia My Texas.”
As the nation’s second-largest state and home to 40 electoral votes, Texas remains the cornerstone of the conservative movement in America. The future of our country is deeply connected to the future of Texas, which is why the Left continues to invest significant resources in reshaping Texas. Protecting Texas values isn’t just important for Texans; it’s critical to preserving freedom, defending our constitutional republic, and securing America’s future for generations to come.
Standing-Room-Only Crowd for "Don't Sharia My Texas"
Attendees filled every seat and lined the walls. The packed room reflected strong grassroots engagement on the alarming issue of Sharia in Texas. State delegates voted to make this issue a top legislative priority in the 2026 Texas Republican Party Platform. The discussion echoed overwhelming support for Proposition 10 from the March 2026 Republican Primary, where nearly 95 percent of Republican voters supported a ballot proposition simply worded, “Texas Should Prohibit Sharia Law.” In November 2025, Texas Governor Greg Abbott designated both the Muslim Brotherhood and its successor organization the Center for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Transnational Criminal Organizations under the Texas Penal Code.
The breakout session opened with this short but powerful three-minute video that established the theme of the discussion. In their own words, imams living in the United States expressed their belief that Sharia should ultimately become the law of the land in America.
Key Voices from the Panel
Amy Mekelburg, Founder of RAIR Foundation USA
Mekelburg, whose organization investigates Islamist movements and threats to Western democracies, warned attendees about what she described as efforts to establish parallel Islamic institutions throughout the United States. Drawing on years of investigative research, she outlined alarming findings on foreign funding, educational institutions, political activism, and the development of self-contained communities designed to operate according to Islamic principles.
“Our nation’s leaders are failing our children.” She urged Texans to become informed, engaged, and willing to confront difficult issues before it’s too late. She said we need to choose “The Constitution or the Quran, America or the Caliphate, freedom or submission, because there is no middle ground.”
Amy also presented her public Congressional testimony, which she was invited to deliver before Congress. To help bring her testimony to life, we incorporated photos of the people and locations she references throughout the video.
Kevin Freeman, Host of Economic War Room
Freeman focused on the economic dimensions of the issue, discussing Islamic finance, foreign influence, higher education funding, and real estate acquisitions. “What we see as a marketplace, our enemies view as a battlespace.” Freeman warned that ideological battles are increasingly being fought through economic means rather than traditional warfare. “This isn’t, ‘I will shoot you in the head.’ It is, ‘I will steal your money, and I will use your money to provide for my ability to take over your country.’”
Rebecca Mistereggen, Norwegian Journalist
Drawing on her experiences covering immigration and Islamification in Europe, Mistereggen offered attendees a firsthand perspective on the challenges many European nations face as they struggle to preserve their cultural identity, public safety, and national sovereignty. She warned that the same forces reshaping Europe are no longer a distant concern, but are already taking root in America. “It is here to dominate. It is here to take over. It is not here to coexist.”
Mistereggen also described the growing pressure faced by journalists, activists, and public figures who speak critically about immigration and Islam in Europe. “When I told my mother I was coming here today, you know the first thing she told me? ‘Please, Rebecca, please choose your words carefully. We want your house to be standing when you come back home,’” she said.
Her remarks served as both a warning and a call to action for Texans to remain engaged in civic life and vigilant in defending constitutional principles. “Please don’t let this happen to Texas.”
Jenny Story, COO of Patriot Mobile
Story concluded the discussion with a message focused on hope, faith, and action. She shared how Patriot Mobile helped bring together a coalition of grassroots organizations, faith leaders, activists, and elected officials to educate voters ahead of the vote on Proposition 10, which received nearly 95 percent support in the March Republican Primary.
“Everybody here has a purpose. Everybody here has something they can do.” Story challenged attendees to strengthen the institutions that sustain a free society: families, churches, schools, and local communities.
American Patriots Gala Draws Packed Ballroom
The convention’s signature fundraising event, the American Patriots Gala, was another highlight of the weekend. Hosted by commentator Benny Johnson, the packed ballroom welcomed the Honorable Scott Bessent, who shared insights on America’s economic future and the successes of the Trump Administration.
Congressman Brandon Gill delivered a spectacular keynote speech, combining humor, conviction, and an unapologetic defense of conservative principles. The freshman congressman from Texas’s 26th District had attendees enthralled with a serious issue facing the nation. Speaking about immigration and assimilation, he remarked: “82% of Somali immigrants in Minnesota are on welfare. That’s just a fact. That’s the reality. Does that make America better off? I don’t think it does.”
Perhaps his most powerful line of the evening came when discussing culture, identity, and national unity: “Diversity in and of itself is not a strength. Our greatest strength comes from a shared sense of values and a shared vision for where our country is going.”
His message resonated throughout the ballroom and earned some of the loudest applause of the evening.
Patriot Mobile Booth Packed with Activity
Patriot Mobile’s Booth remained a hub of activity throughout the convention.
Attendees stopped by for book signings, special guests, giveaways, and conversations with fellow conservatives. The booth hosted meet-and-greets with actor and comedian Rob Schneider and featured signings with evangelist Karen Schatzline, radio host Chris Salcedo, Congressman Barry Loudermilk, author Amanda Martin, author Mark Christian, and other notable guests.
