PATRIOT MOBILE NETWORK MANAGEMENT POLICY

Internet Service

This page provides information about Patriot Mobile’s Broadband Services. “Broadband Services” refers to services that provide the capability to transmit data to and receive data from all or substantially all Internet endpoints.

The network practices, performance characteristics, and commercial terms applicable to Patriot Mobile customers on Patriot Mobile’s Broadband Services over our Network Suppliers’ 4G LTE and 5G networks are described below.

Patriot Mobile provides our Broadband Services entirely by using the facilities of the leading nationwide mobile network operators. We have minimal control over the network management practices and performance characteristics applicable to the Broadband Services you receive from us, and we do not actively manage the network or its performance – our Network Suppliers do. The information provided on this page relates to your experience while using the networks of our Network Suppliers. This page does not describe the practices, characteristics, or commercial terms that may apply when using a roaming partner network, both domestic and international, to the extent roaming may be available. We do not guarantee the availability, quality of coverage or speed for data services that are accessed using other carrier networks.

What data plans does Patriot Mobile offer? Will my data be slowed on these plans?

Currently, Patriot Mobile offers mobile Broadband Services for compatible phones and tablets over our Network Suppliers’ 4G LTE and 5G broadband networks. 5G and/or 4G LTE access requires a capable device and SIM within an appropriate coverage area. Your actual availability, speed, and coverage may vary. Each of our data plans features a designated allotment of high-speed data, after which your data speed may be reduced for the remainder of the applicable monthly period. For all Service plans, Patriot Mobile’s Network Suppliers may also reduce speeds during times of network congestion per their policies.

What performance can I expect from Patriot Mobile’s Broadband Services?

Several factors impact Patriot Mobile’s Broadband Services. These include the programs or services running on a user’s device, proximity to a cell site, and the cell site’s capacity. Environmental elements such as weather and surrounding terrain also play a role, as does using the service inside a building or moving vehicle. Radio frequency interference and the number of other customers using the same spectrum resources can further affect performance. Customer devices have varying speed capabilities and may connect to different networks depending on the technology. Even within coverage areas and with broadband-capable devices, factors like network changes, traffic volume, outages, technical limitations, signal strength, obstructions, and weather conditions can impact speeds and service availability.

For the typical speeds and performance that customers can expect when using 5G and/or 4G LTE capable devices and SIMs within an appropriate coverage area over our Network Suppliers’ 5G and/or 4G LTE networks, subject to the factors described above and below, see the below sections.

Speed and Latency

Speed

Speed refers to the rate at which data is transmitted over a Broadband Service, usually measured in kilobits, megabits, or gigabits per second (Kbps, Mbps, or Gbps). Basic tasks like email or simple web browsing do not require high speeds to function effectively, while more data-intensive activities such as high-definition video streaming or large file transfers benefit significantly from higher speeds. Higher speeds ensure optimal performance for applications that demand real-time or high-bandwidth data transfer.

After you use your monthly high-speed data allotment included in your unlimited service plan, your data speed may be reduced for the remainder of the billing cycle.

Latency

Latency, often referred to as delay, is the time it takes for a data packet to travel between two points on the Internet, typically measured as the round-trip time in milliseconds (ms). This measure indicates how quickly data can be sent and received between two endpoints. While some applications, like email, can handle higher latency without noticeable performance issues, others, such as real-time video conferencing, require low latency to operate efficiently. Lower latency ensures smoother and more responsive interactions for time-sensitive applications.

Patriot Mobile expects customers will typically achieve the following speeds and latency ranges on our Network Suppliers’ 5G and/or 4G LTE networks. 5G and/or 4G LTE access requires a capable device and SIM within an appropriate coverage area. Your actual availability, speed, and coverage may vary due to many factors:

5G Network

  • Download Speeds: Typically between 70 – 320 Mbps
  • Upload Speeds: Typically between 7 – 32 Mbps
  • Latency: Typically between 19 – 37 ms

4G LTE Network

  • Download Speed: Typically between 4 – 35 Mbps
  • Upload Speed: Typically between 3 – 17 Mbps
  • Latency: Typically between 24 – 40 ms

Other Network Management Practices

  • Blocking.  We do not block or otherwise prevent end user access to lawful content, applications, service, or non-harmful devices.
  • Throttling.  We do not degrade or impair access to lawful Internet traffic on the basis of content, application, service, user, or use of a non-harmful device. Please refer to the policies described in this notice for more information.
  • Prioritization.  We do not engage in practices that directly or indirectly favor some traffic over other traffic, including through use of techniques such as traffic shaping, prioritization, or resource reservation.  However, our Network Suppliers may implement certain practices from time to time that may result in de-prioritization of some users.
  • Congestion Management.  We or our Network Suppliers may reduce speeds during times of network congestion.
  • Application-Specific Behavior.  We do not block or rate-control specific protocols or protocol ports, modify protocol fields in ways not prescribed by the protocol standard, or otherwise inhibit or favor certain applications or classes of applications.
  • Security.  As a reseller, we cannot manage our Network Suppliers’ network security. However, our Network Suppliers have implemented robust physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect against various security threats. They proactively monitor network activity for viruses, botnets, worms, DDoS attacks, spam, and other harmful activities and take steps to neutralize identified threats.
