Patriot Mobile Co-Sponsors Folds of Honor Scholarships for Families of the Fallen

During Military Family Month in November, Patriot Mobile proudly served as a major sponsor of the 2025 Folds of Honor North Texas Fundraiser, an extraordinary night of generosity and patriotism.

The recent fundraiser raised over $4.6 MILLION, with more than 1,700 guests joining together to support the mission of Folds of Honor. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of sponsors, supporters, donors, and the community, this total will help fund over 920 educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military members and first responders.

At Patriot Mobile, our mission goes beyond dependable wireless service. We are committed to defending faith, family, and freedom—and that includes investing in the families who bear the cost of our nation’s defense. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded 62,000 scholarships, and this year, our support helped provide six more students with the opportunity to pursue their education in honor of their loved ones’ service.

Among the many recipients whose lives have been changed by Folds of Honor is Teague Crotty, who shared his powerful story with us at the Patriot Mobile studio. Teague lost his father, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Crotty, in 2010. A decorated officer in the Army National Guard, Lt. Col. Crotty served as a Medical Service Corps Officer, Sniper, Platoon Leader, Company Commander, and Embedded Training Team Leader in Afghanistan. He passed away after a long battle with leukemia, leaving behind a legacy of courage and character.

“I was only 13 years old when my dad passed,” Teague shared. “All I knew was that my dad just passed away and I’m trying to figure out how to move forward in life.”

As he progressed through high school and began applying to colleges, reality began to sink in. “As I’m filling out these applications, I’m thinking to myself, wow, college is really expensive,” he said.

“My mom had heard from some military family friends about an organization called Folds of Honor that supports families who have either had an injured or a lost service member with educational scholarships,” Teague explained. “I decided to apply, not knowing what was going to happen. But a month later, I received a letter from Folds of Honor that said, ‘Congratulations, we would like to help support your dream of going to college.’”

Thanks to the scholarship, Teague earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University in 2019. He now serves as a Liaison Engineer for Boeing at Tinker Air Force Base, supporting the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46 refueling aircraft. “I’m able to give back in the best way I can—supporting our military, aircraft, and maintenance teams,” he said.

“Every time I go to a Folds of Honor event, I would meet families full of kids that had been through the exact same thing that I’d been through,” he said. “Through your support, I’ve been able to go so much further in life than I could have ever imagined.”

Teague now serves on the Folds of Honor Speakers Bureau, sharing his story and carrying forward his father’s legacy of service. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Patriot Mobile and Folds of Honor.”

At Patriot Mobile, we are honored to support students like Teague and families like the Crottys. It’s one way we say thank you—and ensure America’s heroes are never forgotten.
