Patriot Mobile was honored to co-sponsor this year’s Celebrate Life annual fundraiser hosted by Council for Life (CFL)—a powerful gathering dedicated to advancing the cause of life and standing firm in faith.
Council for Life exists to empower women, men, and youth to make life-affirming choices. Motivated by Christ-like love and responsive compassion, the organization raises awareness of the complex issues surrounding unplanned pregnancies and provides financial support to agencies that share its mission. Since its founding in 2001, Council for Life has grown to more than 5,000 members and raised over $16 million for life-affirming causes.
This year’s event featured an inspiring conversation between Shawn Carney, President and CEO of 40 Days for Life, and Ben Domenech, Fox News contributor and cultural commentator. Together, they shared insights on the current state of the pro-life movement, victories since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and the ongoing need to defend life with courage and faith.
“There has never been a more hopeful time to be a pro-life American than right now,” said Carney. “The demand for 40 Days for Life is at an all-time high. At the local level, the pro-life movement is on fire. We have to know how to win and move forward—because the other side is losing.”
Carney announced that 40 Days for Life has now helped close 177 abortion facilities worldwide, including one in New York City. “The flagship Planned Parenthood in Manhattan has closed,” he said. “This is the one they said would never close—they even planned to turn it into a museum of reproductive rights. But after 13 years of prayer campaigns, it shut its doors on November 1. If the flagship Planned Parenthood can close, they all can.”
He also highlighted the challenges pro-life advocates face around the world. “Running the world’s largest pro-life organization, we’re out on the street, peacefully praying and offering alternatives—but our volunteers are being targeted,” Carney said. “In England, one of our wonderful leaders — Isabel, who’s the sweetest woman in the world — was arrested for a thought crime. And Parliament in Scotland banned 40 Days for Life by name. You can support abortion, you can do whatever you want, but you cannot be pro-life. That is very dangerous—and it shows why we must never take our freedoms for granted.”
Carney emphasized the importance of defending life in America: “Now is the time for states to stand firm and enforce their laws. In Texas, we have a great attorney general who will defend life. If you’re doing abortions, they will press charges. God is using these laws to save lives.”
Domenech emphasized the importance of perseverance in the ongoing cultural battle for life. “We have to continue fighting in order to win,” he said. “Because they are losing right now—but that victory depends on people willing to give, serve, and speak the truth.”
Carney closed his remarks by reminding attendees of the spiritual nature of this fight. “We have human nature and divine nature on our side,” he said. “God doesn’t want abortion. And if we are willing to stand in the gap for those who have no hands and feet but ours, He will help us overcome this great scourge on our country.”
Speaking about Council for Life, Carney added, “Council for Life is filled with God-fearing, compassionate people who love women and families. They’re professional, prayerful, and effective. Everything they do is done with excellence—and that’s why they make such an impact.”
At Patriot Mobile, we are proud to stand alongside Council for Life and all who are boldly defending the sanctity of life. Together, we are seeing the fruits of decades of prayer and perseverance—proof that faith, compassion, and conviction can change hearts, save lives, and transform our nation.
God is on our side—and life is winning.
