On June 26, pro-life advocates across the nation celebrated a major Supreme Court victory, as the Court upheld the right of states like South Carolina to defund abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood.
Patriot Mobile congratulates Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) for successfully representing South Carolina in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and delivering a powerful pro-life victory at the Supreme Court. Patriot Mobile has proudly supported Alliance Defending Freedom for many years, standing alongside them in the fight to protect life and religious liberty in the courts. Patriot Mobile not only supports pro-life and religious liberty causes but also partners with like-minded businesses through its reliable Business Phone Plans, helping other organizations grow and succeed while staying connected in their important work. In this case, the U.S. government, eighteen states, members of Congress, medical professionals, and pro-life advocates-including Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which Patriot Mobile has also supported for years—filed amicus briefs in support of ADF’s efforts.
This landmark ruling paves the way for other pro-life states to follow South Carolina’s lead in redirecting taxpayer dollars away from abortion providers and toward life-affirming healthcare alternatives.
For decades, pro-life Americans have worked to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. Despite a steep decline in legitimate health services like cancer screenings and pap smears over the past decade, Planned Parenthood continues to perform nearly 400,000 abortions annually. Incredibly, the organization still received $700 million in taxpayer funding in 2022–2023 alone. Today, Planned Parenthood is also the second-largest provider of harmful gender-transition drugs to children—further underscoring the urgent need to cut off public funding.
“States should be free to fund real, comprehensive care and exclude organizations like Planned Parenthood that profit off abortion and distribute dangerous gender-transition drugs to minors,” said ADF Senior Counsel and Vice President of Appellate Advocacy John Bursch, who argued before the court.
“The American people don’t want their tax dollars propping up the abortion industry. The Supreme Court rightly restored the ability of states like South Carolina to steward limited public resources to best serve their citizens. We also thank South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster and his administration for persevering through many years of legal battles to achieve this victory,” Bursch said.
What an incredible way to close out June—recognized as Life Month to commemorate the historic Supreme Court Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022. Since that pivotal moment, the fight to defend life only continues to gain momentum.
This week, the U.S. Senate passed the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which includes a key provision to strip Planned Parenthood of federal funding for one year. The legislation now advances to the House of Representatives. This milestone is the fruit of tireless work by bold pro-life organizations like Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, Concerned Women for America, and Family Research Council Action—all proudly supported by Patriot Mobile.
We continue to pray for righteous leaders and legislative victories that protect the unborn and uphold the dignity of every human life. As the pro-life movement presses forward, Patriot Mobile remains committed to supporting those on the front lines fighting for life.
