Charlie Kirk’s Memorial: A Revival, Not a Funeral

History was made in Glendale, Arizona, as an estimated 100,000 people gathered and millions more watched online to celebrate the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. The State Farm Stadium was filled to capacity, with tens of thousands outside and countless others tuning in across the globe.

More than 100 million people tuned in online, hearing the gospel preached throughout the service from some of the most prominent leaders in America, according to Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show.

What was meant to be a memorial became something far greater. It was, as Vice President JD Vance declared, a revival service, lifting up the name of Jesus Christ and challenging a nation to carry Charlie’s mission forward. Glenn and Jenny Story, Patriot Mobile’s CEO and COO and dear friends of Charlie, were honored to attend and stand alongside fellow patriots—united in grief, but also in hope.

Here are five powerful takeaways from the memorial service:

1. Forgiveness in the Face of Evil

Charlie’s widow, Erika Kirk, offered the most profound testimony of the service. Through unimaginable pain, she extended forgiveness to the man who took her husband’s life:

“My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life… On the cross, our Savior said: ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.’ That man—that young man—I forgive him. I forgive him because it’s what Christ did. And it’s what Charlie would do.”

2. A Call to Courage

Speakers challenged Americans to live boldly for Christ, echoing the spirit in which Charlie lived his life:

“Charlie suffered a terrible fate my friends… but think, it is not the worst fate. It is better to face a gunman than to live your life afraid to speak the truth. It is better to be persecuted for your faith than to deny the Kingship of Christ. It is better to die a young man in this world than to sell your soul for an easy life with no purpose, no risk, no love, and no truth.” – Vice President JD Vance

3. Revival, Not a Funeral

Vice President JD Vance said it best when he declared:

“The evil murderer who took Charlie from us expected us to have a funeral today — and instead, my friends, we have had a REVIVAL and celebration of Charlie Kirk and of his Lord Jesus Christ!”

4. A Nation’s Embrace

President Donald J. Trump, in a deeply moving moment, turned to Erika Kirk with words of comfort and promise:

“Today, an entire nation wraps its loving arms around you and your beautiful children—we share in your immense and overwhelming sorrow—and we vow that we will do everything we can to ensure that your children grow up in a land where their father is honored and revered as a great American HERO.”

5. Salvation Through Christ Alone

Pastor Frank Turek reminded attendees and viewers of the eternal truth Charlie lived by:

“Charlie, right now, is in heaven. Not because he was a great husband & father…. Not because he sacrificed himself for his Savior. Charlie Kirk is in heaven because his Savior sacrificed himself for Charlie Kirk.”

This clear presentation of the gospel reached tens of millions, fulfilling Charlie’s mission even in his death.

Carrying the Mission Forward

Charlie Kirk, now a martyr, lived boldly for Christ and for America. His presence here on earth will be deeply missed, but his influence is far from over. Even in his death, the life Charlie lived continues to preach to millions across the world. God is now using his legacy to spark a revival.

Now it is up to us to carry the torch of faith and freedom forward.
