On April 18, Patriot Mobile was proud to co-sponsor the True Texas Project “Texas Tough” fundraiser, an evening that brought together Texans committed to protecting the future of the Lone Star State.
Texas plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our nation, and as Texas goes, so goes the nation. During this Midterm season, Texas is being targeted by progressives who are pouring in millions of dollars to flip the state. If we want to save America, we must save Texas. Engaged citizens must be willing to step forward, participate, and lead.
True Texas Project’s story is a testament to that principle. Founded in 2009, the organization began with little more than a willingness to make a difference. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into a statewide movement. Today, the organization hosts more than 400 events annually, educating Texans on legislative priorities, mobilizing activism, and encouraging everyday citizens to speak out, volunteer, and even run for office.
Their mission is to educate and motivate citizen engagement at every level of government. Their principles—constitutional government, national sovereignty, fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility, and rule of law—are rooted in faith and family values that continue to guide their work.
Attendees heard from a dozen speakers whose lives were directly impacted by True Texas Project, including Texas State Representatives Shelley Luther and David Lowe, who shared how True Texas Project played a pivotal role in their journey—helping them get involved, equipping and supporting their Texas House campaigns, and ultimately contributing to their victories.
Representing Patriot Mobile, CTO Bob Barracca emphasized the importance of conservatives coming together in this fight and the real impact of grassroots action across the state.
“True Texas Project has a tremendous ability to mobilize patriots into action to make a real impact on Texas policy and hold our government accountable to the people,” Barracca said. “Their mission to educate and motivate citizen engagement aligns perfectly with Patriot Mobile’s commitment to defend faith, family, and freedom.”
He pointed to recent collaborations, including “Save Texas” sponsored by Patriot Mobile—a sold-out event that sounded the alarm on the rapid Islamification of Texas and America—in which both organizations worked together to raise awareness and take action. That partnership continued through a series of strategy meetings designed to educate grassroots organizations’ members on the incompatibility of Sharia law with the Constitution and Christianity—efforts that contributed to nearly 95% of Republican voters supporting Texas Proposition 10 to ban Sharia law during the Texas primary.
True Texas Project members also showed up in force at the Texas State Board of Education to support updated social studies standards aimed at restoring a more complete understanding of America’s founding principles and the role of faith in our history. They played a key role in mobilizing grassroots activists, while Patriot Mobile supported those efforts by helping provide resources and transportation for participants traveling to Austin.
With a final vote expected in June, the outcome would impact 5.5 million Texas students and influence classrooms across the country. As one of the largest textbook markets in the country, Texas often sets the standard for educational content adopted by other states.
“We are in this fight together,” Barracca said. “We will continue to stand with True Texas Project to live our values, protect our history, and defend our God-given rights and freedoms.”
